From the hotel’s beautiful rooftop garden, diners can view Swayambhunath temple {popularly known as ‘monkey temple’ because of the monkeys that hang around the temple’s premises & have made it home}, Kathmandu’s old clock tower with the Westminster’s chimes, the famous Ganesh Himal, Langtang Himal & a fantastic kaleidoscope of the bowl-shaped Kathmandu valley; its just mesmerizing.

The Rooftop Restaurant at the Hotel Nepalaya offers a selection of European and Asian dishes. Special rates for children apply at mealtimes. It offers a variety of Indian, Continental, Italian and Regional cuisines and is open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Its superbly decorated roof gardens and smartly designed iron cast chairs add to its old-world elegance and charm any time of the day or night; under the blue skies & blazing sunshine on cold days & moonlit star-studded skies in the night, it’s just a wonderful place to be any time of the day.

The rooftop garden also offers special Nepalese style seating arrangements that will keep you relaxed to the hilt, anytime you want it to happen when you feel like relaxing with your favourite drinks or savouring your meals. The hotel’s chef cooks up delectable food items, with the Hotel Nepalaya’s specials being: Tomato soup/Nepalaya’s special mixed garden salads/chicken drumsticks/storeng grilled chicken/Nepalaya’s super sizzler/& Nepalaya’s special Thali set – Nepali cuisine that’s literally finger licking/& a host of coffee items that include cappuccino with the coffee express, its all there for you to enjoy. The ‘Temple of Heaven’ Bar gives commanding enchanting views through large French style glass panelling overlooking the Rooftop garden framed by large picture windows, the inviting and upbeat ambience of The Bar is ideal for evenings at leisure or while enjoying your breakfast on a bright sunny day.

The Bar serves tea, coffee and snacks during the day, in addition to offering a large variety of international beverages. An extensive beverage list features a selection of fine wine, an inspired cocktail menu in addition to premium spirits and liqueurs. This is complemented by a light hors-d’oeuvres and snacks menu. A live jazz band is available in the evenings if required to complete the experience.

The ‘Temple of Heaven’ Bar is open from 7.00 am morning to 9.00 pm night.
